DESCRIPTION:The 2026 IDGI-BC Conference (Independent Degree-Granting Institutions of British Columbia) is the fifth annual event focused on advancing excellence in post-secondary education. \n\n\n\nTheme: Beyond Content: Empowering Achievement Through Experiential Practice for a Changing World \n\n\n\nThis conference explores experiential learning as a key driver in higher education\, bridging theory and practice to address evolving demographics\, technological shifts\, labor market needs\, and student preparation for the future. It features presentations across diverse tracks\, including work-integrated learning\, innovative assessments\, accessibility\, Indigenous approaches\, AI impacts\, skills development\, and wellbeing. \n\n\n\nHosted by Western Community College and organized under IDGI-BC/IDGI\, the event welcomes academics\, students (bachelor’s and graduate levels especially encouraged)\, administrators\, professionals\, industry partners\, policymakers\, and stakeholders from all disciplines. \n\n\n\nJoin over 50 expected presentations for insightful discussions\, networking\, and innovative ideas in experiential and applied learning.
